Scoop 'n Dough is a family business offering homemade homemade vegan doughnuts and ice cream, made in small batches to guarantee the quality of our products. This is achieved by searching for perfection in the smallest details in each of our creations and a meticulous selection of ingredients, also following seasonal flavours. The experience of eating an American ice cream at Scoop 'n Dough is unique. Both the consistency and texture make our ice cream incredibly delicious and creamy. Each of our flavours is made by hand and without milk or eggs. Likewise, our brioche doughnuts are hand-crafted so that the end result is a perfect combination of lightness and flavor, using only plant-based ingredients. In fact, they are the lightest and fluffiest doughnuts and that is to say a lot in a country with such a rich tradition in baking. All of our doughnuts are designed and created so that each bite becomes a memory. Ice cream and donuts, does that work together? We went beyond just ice creams and doughnuts and we created our ice cream sandwich, in which we slice our donut and spread our creamy ice cream in the middle. It is currently considered one of the wonders of the world! The secret of the quality of our products is that we do everything with the same love and care with which the food is made at home. This is what makes us get up every day and work tirelessly to take our creations to the next level. Because we know that there is nothing like being welcomed by family.

It was in the heart of Lisbon that HappyCow ® (the largest global platform for vegetarians and vegans) found the best vegan donuts in the world of 2020, just 10 months after the opening of Scoop 'n Dough - the first space dedicated to artisanal donuts and ice cream in Portugal. But that won't stop us serving you as we'd serve our family!
Scoop 'n Dough was founded by two brothers, Darchite and Jimite. It all started when Darchite became vegan in 2015 and found it difficult to enjoy eating ice creams in Lisbon, which was a family favourite activity. This need for creamy and tasty frozen delights gave birth to the dream of creating a plant-based ice cream shop. Thus, Darchite began his 3-year research for the perfect recipe for ice cream. During this process, the idea of adding one of the most celebrated products in the North American country to the ice cream came up: doughnuts . At this point, Jimite joined in and developed the recipe for our celebrated dough. Together we have successfully created this innovative concept. In the short span of one year, we have gone from just having 4 people in total (counting on us) to 8 people on our team. We hope to keep growing together with you!
A nossa rotina começa por tratar da farinha com o maior dos cuidados, peneirando-a de modo a obter um preparado mais fino possível.
Depois da massa sair da amassadeira, começamos bem cedo a esticá-la à mão em pequenas quantidades e tentamos perceber através da aparência, elasticidade e textura se até lá toda a nossa rotina foi bem executada
Uma vez estando esticada e percebendo que a textura está de acordo com o que pretendemos, cortamos cada doughnut individualmente

Todas as semanas, processamos vários quilos de fruta fresca. Isto porque para cada doughnut, temos o cuidado de escolher os melhores ingredientes à nossa disposição, utilizando apenas tudo de forma natural e sem recurso a qualquer tipo de corante. Temos de regularmente processar antecipadamente todos os ingredientes de forma a depois podermos utilizar na confeção artesanal.
Depois de processar as frutas e os ingredientes, demoramos horas a preparar cada componentes para chegarmos aos elementos que fazem parte de cada doughnut!
Uma vez estando tudo pronto a ser usado, decoramos os doughnuts um a um com todo o carinho. Rechear, cobrir e decorar cada doughnut é um processo que nos demora mais de 5 horas!
